MSDE scalability

Hi all,
Im currently evaluating a change from Sybase ASA to MSDE
(sql server desktop engine) on all client sites.
We cannot afford to buy a bigger edition of MSDE, so it
is paramount to our decision that MSDE can handle the
expected workload.
We have estimated our maximum load to be 10 requests per.
second, and have run basic tests to ensure MSDE can
handle it. The results were good.
It would be very interesting to hear from anybody with
actual project experience with MSDE. Anybody with an
oppinion on MSDE in a production enviroment should also
let their voices be heard.
Best Regards
AlexHi
Your post is implying that MSDE is a different database engine to standard
SQL Server, which it isn't, therefore the throughput should be as good. You
are limited by database size and number of connections though.
