Dear all,
I have a Intranet running the sharepoint version which
comes with Frontapage 2002 and MS desktop SQL 7.
My server have a problem and I have to upgrade it to MS
desktop SQL 2000A. Now my sharepoint databases don't work
anymore.
I was wondering if theere is a way to import them back
into the new MS DESKTOP SQL 2000A.
Thank you for any help
HI Renato,
ReadmeMSDE2000A.htm comes with your download of MS Desktop SQL 2000A. It
talks about the changes in this release. Your database doesn't work any
more probably due to the security change that requires strong password.
Empty sa passowrd is no longer accepted. If that is the case, you can
change your sa password by running this query: EXEC sp_password NULL,
'yourpassword', 'sa' and then replace in your code with the new password.
Hope this helps.
Amy

MSDE Max Connections?
Hi, can anyone tell me whats the maximum number of connections you can have to MSDE? Eg, is it enough to host an intranet site for a relativly small business? There is no practical maximum. There is a throttle, however, when there are more than five concurrent sessions that are processing data. I've seen apps with many dozens of users use MSDE without the throttle kick in, when their data usage was relatively light.
There are lots of subtleties, but it's a good chance that it'll work for you.
Don|||Thanks Don :)

MSDE for web applications
Hi, I am needing help on which MSDE version support 25 concurrent users. Can anyone help?
Creating an intranet that I would like to run on msde. My problem is that it wont allow more than one person to access the intranet at a time.
MSDE is running on windows 2000 with IIS.How do you know that MSDE is only allowing one person to access your intranet? Is there an error message it is throwing? If so what is it and how are you calling the data (maybe show us some code samples)?
