Hi,
I'm want to know if its legal to install on another computer the MSDE 2000
(which is free), and after that install the sql server 2000 client tool
only. this without purchasing the sql server 2000 additional time.
Thanks.

there's actually an open question to Microsoft representatives about this...
at the moment it seems not to be legitimate to use ANY SQL Server tool to
connect to MSDE instances but oSql.exe and/or third parties tools...

|||Currently it is not legal to use Enterprise Manager / Query Analyzer /
Profiler etc. without a valid client license. There are other tools you can
use to manage MSDE: http://www.aspfaq.com/2442
